Holy Family University

Several years ago, a private university, with an excellent marketing department, was missing a public relations resource. On the eve of rebranding, it became apparent that strategic communications and public relations were the missing pieces of their marketing puzzle.

The timing couldn’t have been better. Shortly after we were retained, the university’s long-standing president announced her retirement. Using our connections (and a great story to tell), we crafted a communications plan and the related materials to address the Board, faculty, student body, and greater community with the right voice for each – in just a few short hours. We stayed on board with the university for the long haul, handling ongoing internal and external public relations activities and any issues that required crisis communications expertise.

Fast forward to today. The marketing communications department found itself without a leader. Our work with the university expanded and we’re now providing day-to-day public relations support. To help us understand all the stories happening throughout the university (and there’s more than you can imagine!), we created a Communications Council comprised of students and leaders from across the school community. Meeting regularly allows us to mine for stories so that we can properly position Holy Family.
