Part 3 – When Marketing Your Accounting or Professional Services Firm, Inbound Links Are Your Friends (So what are they???) December 02, 2020 by Debbie Albert Share this post Continuing to share ideas on how to market your professional services or accounting firm, let’s look at Inbound Links on your website, a critical – and necessary – component of your SEO efforts. Wait! Your eyes are glazing over! What the hell are inbound links? Glad you asked. Because Inbound Links, links from one website to another, are your friends. Trust us here. Here are four easy ways to use those friendly links to market your firm. 1) Exchange Links with Good Referral Sources – Using an accounting practice as an example, who are the best sources of referrals? Attorneys? Real Estate Agents? Financial Advisers? Doctors? Whomever they may be – start a directory of businesses you would recommend to others and encourage your referral sources to do the same. Why not post one anothers’ website addresses on each of your sites? 2) Become a Guest Blogger – A terrific “Win-Win” is to post a guest blog article on the website of a referral source. Bet ya never thought of that one, eh? Then, encourage that colleague to do the same on your site. A post like that would be a tremendous referral source – for both parties. 3) Write a Guest Email Promo – Promote content on your referral sources’ email list. It will allow you to “think outside the box” and give them content. (And everyone is hungry for content!) 4) Create Articles for Local Online Content – Think about writing an educational article and reach out to a community website (like your town’s “Patch”) and build an inbound link to your site inside the signature file. Make sense? We didn’t think so. Call us; we’ll explain. And if you missed our posts about amplifying your local presence or optimizing your website, just click on the links. You focus on your core competencies, we’ll do the rest.
